I had two choices for an excursion from Toulouse: Albi and Auch. The claim to fame in both cases is a cathedral. I eventually settled on Auch, since I have been to Albi before, even if it was twelve years ago. (If you haven't been to any of these places, go to Albi. That cathedral is really something special.) The train to Auch rolled nice and gently through the nice pastoral landscape, and I will have to admit that I had some occasional naps. But nevertheless it was a nice experience, which however did not result in any photos.

Here I have arrived in Auch, and the cathedral is beautifully situated on a hilltop above the river.
